Trying to be the best person that I can be
Is the only quality I have to some degree
To some degree
Ones with narrow minds and hollow hearts
Shoot for gold and look up to the stars
What hope do I have
When my wish is growing cold
So I’m heading home
But It’s true everyone you know
Contribute to who you are
If it wasn’t for them, you wouldn’t be who you are today
I can never stop feeling like a bad person
How can anyone truly get along with themselves?
Seeing the good in everyone, it’s easier said than done
People you hold up high, people who wave goodbye
Ones you admire are labelled as liars
When purity is further away from even having a soul
Trying to be the best person that I can be
Is the only quality I have to some degree
To some degree
Ones with narrow minds and hollow hearts
Shoot for gold and look up to the stars
What hope do I have
When my wish is growing cold
So I’m heading home
But It’s true everyone you know
Contribute to who you are
If it wasn’t for them, you wouldn’t be who you are
I wouldn’t be who I am
When everything and all you have leaves you behind
Where will you be
When all your scars align?
With patience and composure
I ‘ve overcome the troubles standing in my way
Letting go’s coming to a closure
Still the blues in my soul will stay the same
Let’s find some promise to cast our fear away
Are you happy with the life you live?
Are you content? How do you survive?
Please tell me brother ‘cos I need to know
This is all I have to hold onto
I'm sorry I missed out on this band 'til now. Landscapes sound excellent, a must for any fan of UKHC in the first decade of the century. I'd put them on a playlist with early Gallows, Alexisonfire, Comeback Kid, Dead Swans, Lay It On The Line, Mercury League and HHH. Burning Flag Designs
While I understand the change of direction completely. I do wish we got one more show where this album was played in full, as there are a lot of bangers slept on here. bdogz
An earthy yet somewhat chilly record about life, death, and reconnection, the latest from LOMA experiments with a turn towards the gloomy. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 16, 2024
